I order from them regularly and also dine there once a week. The food is amazing! Their food is fresh and the owners are always welcoming. They have indo Chinese food too which hits home and I ordered chilli garlic rice and chilli chicken today! Couldn’t wait to take the picture and ate some first! It’s authentic Indian and Pakistani food, tastes like 5 star!!!

Spice Diner 217 Bethpage Rd #24, Hicksville, NY 11801 Pictures do not do justice as I took it to post diner/aftar when everything was over. Went to spice diner for Aftar All you can eat buffet on Sunday. The reservation was smooth, and I found a table, luckily. I have not been to this place before so was going with low expectations. Seating is small with 10-12 tables and maybe 50-70approx seats. The ambiance is good. As soon as we entered, we are welcomed by the staff, who are very courteous. 5/5 for customer service. Looks like it is owned and run by a family. Fillings were warm and ample. Nothing looks microwaved or old. They have a few Chinese options as well, which I did not find in others. Tried the following items: Drinks: Rooh Afzah & Lemonade: 5/5 Appetizer: Pani Puri stall: 4/5 Chana Chat: 4/5 Dahi Bhalla: 4/5 Fruit Chat/Salad: 4/5 Tandoori Chicken: 5/5 Hot Malai Boti: 4/5 Hot Haryali Boti: 4/5 Hot Seekh Kabab: 4/5 Hot Chicken Patties: 4/5 (Speciality) Chicken Keema Samosa: 4/5 Vegetable Samosa: 4/5 Pakora: 5/5 Chicken Nuggets: 4/5 Fish Fried: 4/5 Chicken 65: 4/5 Gobi Manchurian: 4/5 Chinese Dish with Paneer: 3/5 Two more Chinese Dishes with Chicken: 4/5 Paneer Kadhai: 3/5 Butter Chicken: 5/5 (Best) Lamb curry: 4/5 Chicken Curry: 4/5 Rajma/Lobia: Did not tried Gulab Jaman: 4/5 Naan: 4/5 Anything you request to be delivered straight to the table is done hot and pipping like naan or tandoori chicken. Even the manager/staff was serving rooh afzah and dates to tables at the time of Aftar. Tea was not included, but we tried later. They have dhoodh patti, and masala tea made to order, not pre-made. 5/5. Best Tea. Customer Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Value for money 25: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Highly Recommended 5/5

The menu is extensive with something for everyone including indo-chinese options. The noodles and barbecue that I ordered for takeout were mild but delicious. I don't like very spice food so this suited me. The naan was fresh and the portions a good size. i want to try their haandis and fast food options next trip.

I remember trying Spice Diner a couple years ago, way before the pandemic, and I wasn’t as impressed as I have been with their food lately. My husband and I loveeeee their fish chili appetizer, we eat it with naan even though it’s an appetizer lol And their lamb biriyani is so flavorful. Everything we have ordered the last few times have been amazing. Might be our new favorite place in Hicksville. Excited to try their other items.

With a reputation built on flavorful dishes and exceptional customer service, Spice Diner has quickly positioned itself as a local favorite.

As you glance through the menu, you’ll discover a wide array of options that cater to diverse palates. Highlights include an enticing selection of chaats such as the Dahi Batata Puri - crispy puffed puris filled with potatoes and chickpeas, drizzled with tangy tamarind and mint chutneys, crowned with yogurt, sev, and fresh coriander ($11.95). Another standout is the Gol Gappay, crispy hollow fried breads that burst with flavor, leaving diners craving more.

If you prefer something more robust, indulge in the Rice & Noodles section. The Goat Biryani is a must-try, offering tender pieces of goat lovingly cooked with basmati rice and fragrant herbs, priced at $32.95. Alternatively, the Chili Garlic Noodles provide a spicy twist to traditional noodles, confirming their commitment to elevating every dish with authentic flavors.

The sides are equally impressive. You can’t go wrong with their Onion Chutney ($3.95) — a spicy delight that adds zest to your meal, or the Mango Chutney ($3.95), a sweet and tangy complement that’s impossible to resist.

But don't just take my word for it. Diners rave about their experiences at Spice Diner. Arooj Naru noted the “great tasting food” and praised the “nice atmosphere, clean, and family-friendly” vibes.
